Quickstash is local-first: your stash is decrypted and kept in that browser so it opens instantly and works offline. That copy stays on the machine after you log out, which is what makes the app fast on your own device — and what you need to think about on a shared one.
On a computer you share, use Logout & erase instead of plain Logout. It syncs anything pending, then wipes every note, page, log and cached file from that browser. Nothing is lost — your stash lives on encrypted in the cloud, and signing back in with your number restores it.
If you skip the erase and someone else signs in with their own number on that browser, the leftover local notes are treated as unsynced work and merged into their stash. Same mechanism that lets you merge your own stashes together — so on shared machines, always erase.
